THE CHALLENGE
Our client, an exclusive business member community, needed a mobile app to promote community events and member relationships. The app's existing design had undergone many changes at the hands of both business owners and designers, as priorities shifted and/or new ideas were introduced.
The client needed help reconciling the ideas and creating a unified design and strategy that would take them from concept to working product, as well as an updated ecosystem of websites and administrative tools to help organize and maintain the community and the new app's features.
THE SOLUTION
Cayuse Technologies applied a proven process to inventory the business and functional requirements for the mobile app in order to produce a clear path to move forward.
Through our comprehensive process, we produced a clear set of requirements for the app, a backlog of enhancements, requirements for an updated admin tool, and a master technical document to guide developers.
A new mobile app design was developed, focusing on information architecture, navigation, and workflows. A brief but critical walk-through for first time users was developed to contribute to a positive first-time user experience when navigating the complex features of the app. A unique brand was created and applied to all the client apps, translating the aesthetic of the mobile app to related websites and email templates.
