VOICE AND DATA CUSTOMERS EXPERIENCE EFFORTLESS BILLING
The end client, a voice and data network communications provider in the US, acquired a telecom company, and needed to merge the customer billing data from the acquired company's existing systems into the parent company's proprietary systems.
To facilitate the correct data migration, the Cayuse team working with the client, created a Comparative Rating and Billing (CRB) tool that would enable the testing, and developed and implemented testing plans. The team ran five mock migrations to test the conversion prior to actual conversion by the end client IT team.
Customers were converted to the parent company's system, creating greater efficiency for billing processes and customer support as compared to managing two disparate systems. This resulted in a cost savings resulting from processing efficiencies, reduced employee training, and a reduced number of customer support calls.
The end client received a set of best practices they can utilize going forward. A CRB tool was developed which can now be reused. The need for support of the legacy billing system is eliminated resulting in a substantial cost savings.
